Group MX RIDING SCHOOL (6-10 riders)

Bring your dirt bike and partake in some motocross lessons at the Kyle Stephens Riding Academy’s Saturday School.
Our schools are designed to place you with like minded riders, to have fun and improve your skills so that you may improve quickly and safely regardless the level you're currently at. Our school is designed to demonstrate and apply the key elements of racing and safe dirt bike riding for all levels of rider by focusing on group training and one on one as time allows.

Motocross schools will be held as follows:

Youth School (100cc and under - all levels) will run every Thursday evening commencing July 28/16

Big Bikes (125cc and up - all levels) will run every Wednesday evening commencing Julys 27/16

  • $100 per rider

  • Classes are from 5pm - 9pm 

  • Must bring your own equipment (see checklist below)

  • Participants under the age of 18 will require a parent to be present.

  • We target for 6 but allow a Maximum of 10 Participants per Class - First Come, First Serve

  • Schools will be conducted at Wildrose MX Park (Calgary, Alberta) 

Things To Bring - Checklist:

 

  •  Your Bike & Basic Tools

  •  ALL Gear:

    • Helmet,

    • Jersey & Pants (2 sets if possible), 

    • MX boots,

    • Chest Protector or Roost Guard,

    • MX Gloves

    • Goggles (tear-offs optional)

  •  Gas in gas can with your name on it

  •  Towel & Lawn Chair

  •  Clothing for Down Time

  •  Alberta Health Care Card & Emergenc Contact Info

  •  Cell Phone and Charger

MX Schools May Cover:

 

  • Attack Position, Proper Jumping Position, Preloading & Scrubbing  & Rider Weight Distribution

  • Smooth Throttle Control While Accelerating & Power Shifting

  • Proper Braking & Transitioning from Braking to Accelerating 

  • How to Look For Lines & Selecting the Right Ones

  • Approaching the Apex of a Corner, Transitioning & Carrying Momentum 

  • How to Handle Kickers, Ruts, Casing, Rockers & Over Jumping

  • Gate Selection & Grooming, Mental Preparation, How to Launch Your Biket, First Laps of Racing

  • How to Learn from your Riding, Picturing your Success, Modeling a Champion

Payment and registration must be completed PRIOR to the Participants arrival. We accept EFT or payment by Paypal. Please bring riders healthcare information for our records and an emergency contact. If rider is under 18 years of age, please be aware that a parent signature is required for all forms. These forms/waivers will be signed on the day of the event prior to starting the school.

 

We recommend that riders arrive at least 30 minutes prior  to the school's start time to complete your registration, set up your pit area, get dressed, etc.. If any maintenance is needed on the riders bike while attending camp, our instructors will be happy to assist as best as possible and as time allows. Unless you’re bringing your trailer, it is recommended (but not necessary) to bring your own tools as we have some tools on site.

We kindly ask our riders bringing in any outside food or drinks to our schools please respect the track area and clean up before leaving. At all our MX Schools, we hold a strict NO TOLERANCE policy on bullying. If any of this is witnessed by our Instructors, the participant (or guardians) will be notified and the participant will be asked to leave immediately without any refund. We often have a diverse group of riders that attend our schools ranging in all experience levels and ages so we ask that everyone respects one another.
